China is a vast and fascinating country. Its culture and history are immense dating back thousands of years. It is a country where you will see a culture with years of tradition yet close by is modern China making its presence felt in the new century. You can only scratch the surface of this amazing country in one trip!

China has a varied terrain from the high mountain ranges of the Himalayas to the vast flatlands to the east. China has many river systems, the most well-known being the Yellow River and of course the Yangtze. With such a vast geography comes it many neighbours. China shares its borders with Many countries including Russia, Mongolia, Vietnam, Laos, Myanmar, India, Bhutan, Nepal, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan.

This diversity in cultural influences and geography makes China a country of endless possibilities. Its modern cities of Shanghai and Beijing contrast to the quieter areas that provide the cultural and scenic highlights – Hangzhou provides an escape from the modern cities, the Yangtze River provides amazing scenery while Suzhou can provide amazing traditional gardens. The Great Wall and the Xian Warriors will amaze you!

Seasonal Travel

China’s weather conditions vary considerably given its size. While China can always be visited all year round, the best time to visit is April and May and September and October.

The winters in the north are very cold but also has its appeal particularly for the photographer!

Summers can be warm and damp due to the monsoons.
